  When I first called Specialty Fireplace Service, Nora was very helpful end encouraging that they could replace the glass on the fireplace. She had me measure the shattered glass over the phone and made an appointment to have a technician come out to install the glass when it was ready. The technician was very nice and removed our broken glass but found that the glass he had brought was too small and would need to remeasure and come back with glass another time. At this time there was no service on the unit done, just glass removed. He said I would be contacted when the glass was in and he would return. I heard nothing and called the company almost a month later. I was told from Nora that there was a delay because their glass manufacturer had gone to wholesale only but they were looking for another vendor. A month later (yesterday) I called and spoke with Nora again to ask her about any progress. She raised her voice to me and proceeded to tell me that She already told me they didn't have a glass vendor and this was my problem. She was no longer doing service with me. I was taken a back because she was so snippy and rude to me when I was just needing my fireplace done. I asked her then if I would get a refund for the hundred and ten dollars I had spent because all he did was take my glass. She said absolutely not and it wasn't her problem. I called another fireplace company and they said I needed to get my original glass back. I called Nora back immediately and she said no way I was getting my glass back very rudely because I hadn't paid for it. Then proceeded to point out the fact that I was the one who measured it wrong. I kindly (although it was hard) said I only wanted my original glass that was shattered back so I could get the exact measurements to the next company. She rudely took my information and said she would see. I have never dealt with a company who takes your money and doesn't finish the job and blames the customer. I am in the costumer service business and don't complain often but feel that by using this company you are taking a risk. I will never deal with them again and will be sure nobody I know uses them!
