  Wow, waste of time and money. Tax preparer appeared to be on a training program, constantly assisted by others in the office. I was handed back tax paperwork containing deductions, ie tuition and union fees, was told she didn't need them. Initial visit took an hour and a half, partly due to me explaining some of the deductions. The other tax preparer apologized and assured me I was in good hands. At the end of the session I was flippantly told I owed some money, $33,000. The issue in question involved a disability issue, I was told to contact others for clarification. After a week and contacting the IRS myself, I found I was responsible for a large tax bill. I accepted this and returned to the office to finish return. This visit, I asked to go back through the tax forms as there was a lack of understanding during the first visit. Was asked where to start, I stated the beginning. I was not upset about paying the taxes at this point, just worried about her inexperience. We got to the end of the return and she stated I owed the state some money too. Another $5,000, this was not covered at all during the first visit. I then informed her I was not happy at all, she then called out for someone to help out, but I really didn't have questions and just wanted to get out of there ASAP. I have never written a review on anything before, but this is warranted because I don't want someone expecting any sort of expertise, just the 18 hours of training.
